Test and Tag is the name given to the process of checking the safety of portable electrical appliances. Whether you work in a trade, kitchen, or office, it is critical that the equipment you are using is safe. Faulty electrical equipment can be detrimental to a business if not constantly maintained and tested. It normally involves two steps namely a visual inspection of each item (appliances, leads etc) for any damage, followed by electrical test utilising a Portable Appliance Tester. The primary reason behind doing testing and tagging is to ensure the safety of the people in the workplace coming into contact with the appliances, while also minimising the risk of an electrical hazard. |

The AS/NZS 3760:2010 is the Australian Standard that provides guidelines and regulations for the test and tag industry with regards to electrical safety of appliances. It sets out recommendations to issues such as test and tag intervals, defines who can test and tag and general guidelines.
Our technicians can Test & Tag all electrical equipment and appliances and are able to provide printed tags, associated log reports and report recommendations as per Australian Standard – AS/NZS 3760:2018.
